Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Shared Services Manager to lead and manage the delivery of centralised support services across HR, Finance, IT, and/or Procurement functions. Based in London, this role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, service excellence, and continuous improvement across the organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing the performance of shared service teams, ensuring compliance, and driving process innovation.
Lead the day-to-day operations of shared service functions (e.g. HR, Payroll, Finance, Procurement, IT support)
Develop and implement service delivery models that promote standardisation and operational efficiency
Monitor and manage KPIs, SLAs, and service quality across all shared services
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g. GDPR, financial regulations)
Oversee team leadership, training, and development within the shared services function
Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and issue resolution
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, using data and feedback to enhance systems and processes
Prepare regular reports and updates for senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning
Manage budgets, resources, and technology used across shared services operations

Requirements
- Proven experience in managing shared services or central operations in a large or complex organisation
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent understanding of shared service models, service level management, and business support functions
- Strong project management and change management capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Analytical and process-driven mindset with proficiency in systems such as ERP, HRIS, or finance platforms
