Summary: Workmere is for legitimate recruitment. Misuse — including fake listings, spam, harassment, or scraping — will result in immediate account termination.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the standards of conduct expected of all Workmere users. Violations may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action. This policy supplements our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not post or transmit content that:
- Is false, misleading, or fraudulent (including fake job listings or company details)
- Infringes any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of a third party
- Is discriminatory on the basis of age, race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic
- Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Is obscene, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful
3. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent a ban or subscription limits
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or collect data from the platform
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network
- Post jobs that are not genuine employment opportunities or that are used to harvest personal data
- Solicit or collect personal information from job seekers outside the application process for non-recruitment purposes
- Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) to other users
- Impersonate any person, organisation, or Workmere employee
4. Recruiter Obligations
Recruiters must ensure all job listings are accurate and represent genuine available positions. Listings must include real salary information or a legitimate reason for withholding it. Recruiters must respond to applications in a reasonable timeframe or close listings that are no longer active.
5. Job Seeker Obligations
Job seekers must provide accurate information in their profiles and applications. CVs and cover letters must be truthful. Applying to jobs with no genuine interest in the role is prohibited.
6. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates this policy, please use our Report Abuse form. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
7. Enforcement
Workmere reserves the right to remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate this policy, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. We may also report illegal activity to relevant authorities.
