Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dustcart Driver to join our waste collection team. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience driving refuse collection vehicles for a local authority or waste services company. You will work alongside a loader and play an active role in ensuring collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Operate a dustcart/refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
Work alongside a loader during daily waste collection rounds.
Assist with loading duties when required.
Plan and follow the daily collection route effectively.
Complete all scheduled collections within the allocated timeframe.
Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
Work collaboratively within a small, established team of drivers and loaders.

Essential Requirements
Previous experience driving a dustcart or refuse collection vehicle.
Experience within a local authority and/or waste services company is preferred.
Valid licence to operate the required vehicle.
Willingness to assist with manual loading duties.
Good route planning and organisational skills.
Flexibility to work beyond the contracted finish time of 2:00 pm when necessary to complete all collections.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
